1. Who provides QuickCal

QuickCal is provided by AleksPetk. This Privacy Policy explains what information the QuickCal mobile app stores, what may leave your device, and how you can delete local data. For questions, contact support@alekspetk.com.

2. Summary

QuickCal is designed to keep My Library items, calorie logs, settings, theme, tutorial status, Calorie Planner questionnaire answers and estimate results, trial information, purchase entitlement cache, and optional library photos on your device. A bundled offline QuickCal Reference dataset also ships inside the app. There is no QuickCal account system and no QuickCal cloud sync for your content. Planner calculations and reference searches run locally on the device. The app does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers in its current implementation.

3. Information stored on your device

Depending on how you use the app, QuickCal may store the following locally:

My Library. Item name, calories, optional protein, carbs, and fat, optional photo, pin status, and logging mode (Quick Log or Portion). Items you copy from QuickCal Reference become normal local library items under your control.

QuickCal Reference (bundled). A read-only offline catalog of approximately 150 curated ingredients (primarily raw, uncooked, or dry, natural / minimally processed foods) based on USDA FoodData Central reference data. The catalog ships inside the app; it is not downloaded from the internet and is not a community database. Searches and lookups of this catalog stay on device.

Daily log history. Date, time, calories, optional macros, a name snapshot at log time, optional portion, and a reference to the library source when applicable.

App settings. Daily calorie goal, optional protein / carbs / fat goals, day reset time, history retention preference, and a local purchase-status display value.

Theme. Your selected visual theme id.

Tutorial status. Whether the first-launch tutorial has been seen.

Calorie Planner. Questionnaire answers you provide (such as sex, age, height, weight, unit preference, lifestyle activity, training frequency, goal, and safety screening responses) and the resulting local estimate snapshot (for example estimated resting and maintenance calories, target calories, macros, BMI, warnings, formula version, and calculated/applied timestamps). Logging history is not used to compute planner estimates.

Trial information. App-managed trial start and expiry timestamps.

Purchase entitlement cache. Local cache of lifetime purchase status from the store (including product id, platform, and related timestamps when a purchase has been recorded).

Optional food images you attach are optimized and saved in the app’s local document storage on the device. They are not uploaded to a QuickCal server.

4. Permissions

QuickCal may request access to your photo library so you can attach optional images to food library items, and may use the system file / document picker when you export or import a backup. The app does not use the camera for capture in the current implementation. Declining photo access means you cannot add those photos; other features continue to work.

5. What leaves the device

Your My Library items, calorie logs, settings, theme, tutorial status, Calorie Planner answers and results, trial information, purchase entitlement cache, and optional library photos are not sent to a QuickCal backend. Planner calculations happen on the device. QuickCal Reference searches and nutrition lookups are performed offline from the bundled dataset; no reference searches are sent to QuickCal servers and no online nutrition lookups are performed for that catalog. QuickCal does not operate a cloud sync service for your data.

If you use Export Backup or Import Backup, the backup file is created or read on your device and shared only through the channels you choose (for example the system share sheet or a file you select). Backups include your local data such as My Library items you created or copied, logs, settings, and Calorie Planner settings. The bundled QuickCal Reference catalog is not exported. Restoring a backup restores copied My Library items normally. Importing or exporting a backup does not change Apple (or Google) purchase status. Apple purchases remain managed entirely by Apple.

When you purchase or restore the lifetime unlock, or when the app checks store product information, your device communicates with Apple or Google through the platform in-app purchase system. QuickCal does not run its own server-side receipt validation. Purchase handling follows the store’s normal purchase and restore flow.

If you open Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, or contact links from the app, your device may load this documentation site or start an email to the support address you choose to use.

6. How information is used

Local data is used only to provide QuickCal features on your device: building My Library, browsing the offline QuickCal Reference, logging intake, showing daily totals, applying your settings and theme, running the first-launch tutorial, producing optional Calorie Planner estimates from your questionnaire answers, managing the trial window, and remembering lifetime unlock status after a successful store purchase or restore.

7. Sharing

AleksPetk does not sell your QuickCal library, logs, settings, planner answers, or photos. Because that content stays on the device (unless you deliberately export a backup), it is not shared with AleksPetk through a QuickCal account or sync service. Platform stores (Apple or Google) process purchase-related information according to their own policies when you buy or restore.

8. Retention and deletion on device

History retention. In Settings you can keep log history for 1 week, 1 month, 1 year (default), or unlimited. When a limited window is active, older log entries are removed automatically. Retention does not delete My Library, settings, Calorie Planner data, photos, or the bundled QuickCal Reference.

Clear History. Deletes all log entries while keeping My Library, settings, theme, tutorial state, Calorie Planner data, the bundled QuickCal Reference, and entitlement.

Erase All Data. Permanently deletes My Library (including managed library photos and items you copied from Reference), all history, and Calorie Planner answers/results, and restores settings defaults (including tutorial state, theme, and macro goals). The bundled QuickCal Reference remains part of the app. Trial timestamps and a real store purchase cache are preserved. Simulated development purchase state is cleared.

Uninstall. Removing the app deletes local QuickCal data on that device, including the local database and stored photos. A lifetime purchase made through Apple or Google can typically be restored later on the same platform with the same store account. The app-managed trial may start again after a fresh install because there is no QuickCal backend that tracks reinstalls.

9. Children

QuickCal is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). The Calorie Planner estimates are intended for adults 18 and older. Do not provide personal information through the app if you are not old enough to use it under applicable rules.

10. Security

Data is stored using the device’s local app storage (SQLite and local files). No security measure is perfect. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any backup files you export. AleksPetk does not claim absolute security of on-device data.

11. Third-party reference data

QuickCal Reference nutrition values are based on USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy) public-domain data. Attribution:

12. Changes

This policy may be updated when QuickCal’s data practices change. The “last updated” date at the top will change when a revision is published on this site. Continued use after an update means you should review the revised policy.
