Where is my data?

On your device. QuickCal stores your library, optional library photos, logs, settings, theme, tutorial status, trial information, and purchase entitlement cache locally. There is no QuickCal account and no QuickCal cloud sync for that content.

Trial

New installs receive a 14-day app-managed free trial. After it ends, you can still browse Home, Library, History, and Settings. Writing (logging, editing library items, and similar write actions) opens the unlock screen until you purchase or restore. Existing data is not deleted when the trial ends.

Purchase and restore

Unlock is a one-time lifetime purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play — not a subscription. Use Restore Purchase in Settings (or on the paywall) if you already bought on the same platform with the same store account.

Apple and Android purchases do not transfer automatically between platforms. QuickCal does not validate receipts on its own server; it relies on the store purchase/restore APIs and keeps a local unlock cache after success.

Clear History vs Erase All Data

Clear History removes all calorie log entries and keeps your library, settings, theme, tutorial state, and entitlement.

Erase All Data permanently deletes your library and history, restores settings defaults, and clears development-only simulated purchase state. Trial timestamps and a real store purchase cache are kept. The app asks for confirmation twice before erasing.

Uninstall

Uninstalling deletes local QuickCal data on that device. A lifetime store purchase can usually be restored later on the same platform. The local trial may start again after a fresh install because QuickCal has no backend that tracks reinstalls.

Photos

Optional photos for food library items come from your photo library. QuickCal does not use the camera for capture in the current version. Photos stay in the app’s local storage on the device.

Replay tutorial

Open Settings → Replay tutorial to see the guided tour again without wiping your data.
